Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 will be the fourth installment of the Gekitou Ninja Taisen series, which is based off of the popular anime and manga series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto.. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on November 21, 2005 for the Nintendo Gamecube. Confirmed Features - New features include a full-blown tag team mode, similar to that in Tekken Tag Tournament, and the ability for all characters to side-step while running. - Unique team supers are only for pre-assigned teams in tag team mode {eg: Sharingan Team, consisting of Kakashi, Sasuke, and Itachi, has Sasuke and Kakashi using Chidori, while Itachi uses Amaretsu). - Naruto no longer has Sexy no Jutsu as his Back+A manuever. It now summons an AI-controlled bunshin, which will remain on-screen and help Naruto as long as he has chakra. - Naruto can now transform into his Kyuubi mode at any given time, as long as he has a full-bar of chakra to do so. However, he still cannot revert back. - Transformations are now assigned to Back+X and no longer Down+X.

Speculation
- Bonus money (in game) will be rewarded if you have saves from the previous games.
- It is expected the game will continue up to episode 135 or perhaps through Kakashi Gaiden.

- According to some rumours - which have already been proven groundless - there are another 5 new characters in the game. These new characters may include Sarutobi Asuma, Shizune, Yūhi Kurenai, Rokushō Aoi, Dosu Kinuta, Zaku Abumi, Kin Tsuchi, Gekkō Hayate, Shiranui Genma, Baki, Ebisu, Kazahana Dotō, Temujin, Suien, Uchiha Obito, Rin, Young Hatake Kakashi, Yondaime Hokage, Shodai Hokage, Nidaime Hokage, and/or Kuroari.

- Many characters could get move upgrades. These may include Uzumaki Naruto (Kyūbi level 2), Gaara (Shukaku transformation), Rock Lee (Suiken (Drunken Fist)), Akimichi Chōji (Akimichi pills), Kankurō (Kuroari), Nara Shikamaru (Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu), Temari (Kuchiyose: Kirikiri Mai), Inuzuka Kiba (Jinjū Konbi Henge: Sōtōrō), and Hyūga Neji (Hakke Hyaku Nijūha Shō).

- New arenas could include the Valley of the End (where Sasuke and Naruto fought).
